Charisse Chao

Violin

Charisse Chao is a senior at Lynbrook High School and has been playing the violin since she was five. She currently studies with Ms. Zhao Wei. She has won awards in competitions including the United States International Music Competition, Silicon Valley Philharmonic Music Competition, Great Composers Competition, Charleston International music competition, United States Open Music Competition, KAMSA competition, and New York International Classical Music Competition. Charisse has been in GSYO since she was in the 4th grade. She went on GSYO’s 2024 and 2026 European tours with the senior symphony. Outside of music, Charisse likes to watch movies and draw.
