Dylan Pu
Piano
Dylan Pu, age 15, is a sophomore at The Nueva School. He started piano at the age of four and currently studies with Dr. Sharon Mann at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Pre-College, which he joined in 2020. He has been selected to perform for the Junior Bach Festival for the past four years, and won prizes at the US Open Music Competition, CCPAS Sturm-Page Piano Scholarship Competition, Bay Area Music Association, and others. He also received honorable mention in the Palo Alto Philharmonic Concerto Competition and was named a winner in Golden State Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition. He attended Artcial Music Festival during the summer of 2021, and has had the opportunity to study with musicians such as Alan Chow, James Giles, and Mina Perry. He has played in chamber music as a part of the Santa Clara University Chamber Music Program and SFCM Chamber Music Program. An avid cellist, he has also performed with Peninsula Youth Orchestra and Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, and has been part of string chamber groups.
