Artistic Operations Manager
As a native to the Bay Area, Ms. Jones is thrilled to have the opportunity to be involved with GSYO in Palo Alto. Ms. Jones received her undergraduate degree in violin performance at University of the Pacific, where she was involved in orchestra, wind ensemble (percussion), pep band (flute, alto saxophone, trombone), Mu Phi Epsilon, and chamber music.
After obtaining her degree, she moved to the east coast to pursue her Masters (String Performance) and Performance Studies Certificate (Violin Performance-Chamber Music) at The Boston Conservatory. During her time in Boston, Ms. Jones was invited to join Videri String Quartet— a classically-trained ensemble that tours and performs professional arrangements of video game music. Videri String Quartet has been invited to perform at conferences nationwide, including the Game Developers Conference (San Francisco), Rooster Teeth Convention (Austin, TX), and PAX East (Boston, MA). Ms. Jones performs at Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music in Nelson, NH during the summer, where Videri was invited as a Fellowship quartet and a Community Engagement ensemble. As an active performer, Ms. Jones looks forward to her summers at Apple Hill where she has the opportunity to work and perform with many musicians from around the world.
Ms. Jones currently lives in San Jose, where she actively performs and teaches violin.
