Martha Marki

Flute

Martha Marki, age sixteen, is a junior at Fremont High School. She has been playing flute for the last seven years now, ever since she first joined the school band in the fourth grade. Martha studies flute with Cecily Lan, who continues to support Martha in her musical endeavors at GSYO and beyond. Outside of GSYO’s Senior Symphony, Martha also plays flute in her high school’s Wind Ensemble. Aside from the GSYO Concerto Competition, Martha won the Bellagrande International Music Competition in 2022, as well as second place in several other competitions. In addition to flute, Martha enjoys reading, playing piano, and video games.
