Violin

Matthew Lin is a sixteen-year-old junior at Foothill High School. He started studying violin at the age of seven with Ms. Amy Liu and is currently the Assistant Concertmaster in Golden State Youth Orchestra's Senior Symphony. Matthew has already performed two solos alongside GSYO groups and won many other competitions, such as the romantical category at USIMC. Outside of violin, Matthew enjoys participating in a robotics team, playing basketball, and hanging out with his friends. As the winner of the GSYO concerto competition, Matthew will be playing the first movement of the Sibelius Violin Concerto.
