Galbraith Honor Strings

The Galbraith Honor Strings program is named in honor of the founder of our organization, William Galbraith, who was our first music director. This program is an intermediate string orchestra composed of middle and high school students from across the Bay Area.

Galbraith Honor Strings offers talented young string players training in a focused environment. Working closely with Conductor Mariya Borozina and sectional coaches to develop their musicality and technique, these gifted young musicians provide outstanding performances for their loyal audience.

Galbraith Honor Strings is featured in three concerts per season and rehearse weekly with one dress rehearsal prior to each performance. Each season begins in late August/early September with seating auditions and a local camp: September Staccato.
