Beginning Orchestra

$525 fee
For all instruments, an introduction to orchestra performance.
Intermediate Chamber Orchestra
2:00 - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday
$525 fee
For intermediate to advanced strings (violin, viola, cello, and bass).
Chamber Winds
2:00 - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday
$525 fee
For intermediate flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, and French horn players.
Registration deadline: May 6, 2021
Audition Requirements
Beginning Orchestra
- Minimum 1 year of lessons
- Musicians must be reading notes
- Prepared solo or étude
- Winds: one-octave major scale
- Viola/Cello: one or two-octave D major scale with related arpeggio
- Violin: one or two-octave A major scale with related arpeggio
- Sight-reading
Intermediate Chamber Orchestra
- Previous ensemble experience preferred
- 2-3 years of lessons
- Prepared solo or étude
- Violin: two or three-octave A major scale with related arpeggio
- Viola/Cello: two or three-octave D major scale with related arpeggio
- Sight-reading
Chamber Winds
- Previous ensemble experience preferred
- 2-3 years of lessons
- Prepared solo or étude
- Prepared major scale through four sharps and four flats memorized
- Sight-reading
