Chamber Players Orchestra
The Chamber Players Orchestra, conducted by Jordan Webster, is a beginning-level program composed of string, wind, and percussion students who have had one to three years of private lessons.
At Chamber Players Orchestra, each musician learns how to follow a conductor and to play as an ensemble, to play in-tune, and to achieve the correct sound and balance for each section of the orchestra.
Most rehearsals begin with musicians in sectionals. String musicians and percussionists work with Ms. Webster while winds rehearse with Ms. Gardner, allowing for more specialized attention before coming together in full orchestra after the break.
Chamber Players Orchestra begins rehearsals in September and performs three concerts each season, in December, March, and May.
It is recommended that students who plan to attend Chamber Players Orchestra enroll in Beginning Orchestra in Summer Conservatory prior to their first year in Chamber Players Orchestra. With faculty approval, experienced musicians from Chamber Players Orchestra may enroll in Intermediate Chamber Orchestra in Summer Conservatory.
