Chamber Players Orchestra

The Chamber Players Orchestra is a beginning-level program composed of students who have had less than three years of private lessons. Conductor Dr. Ondine Young is assisted at each rehearsal by Director of Winds Debra Gardner.

At Chamber Players Orchestra, each musician learns how to follow a conductor and to play as an ensemble, to play in-tune, and to achieve the correct sound and balance for each section of the orchestra.

Chamber Players Orchestra begins rehearsals in September and performs three concerts each season, in December, March, and May.

It is recommended that students who plan to attend Chamber Players Orchestra enroll in Beginning Orchestra in Summer Conservatory prior to their first year in Chamber Players Orchestra. With faculty approval, experienced musicians from Chamber Players Orchestra may enroll in Intermediate Chamber Orchestra in Summer Conservatory.
