Camerata Orchestra

Conducted by Jordan Webster, Camerata Orchestra is a beginning/intermediate ensemble composed of string, woodwind, brass, and percussion students with two to three years of private lessons. There are weekly sectionals and full orchestra for all instruments.

Camerata musicians learn complex musical ideas and techniques, accompany several student soloists, and are in-training for Galbraith Honor Strings or the El Camino Wind Orchestra.

Most rehearsals begin with musicians in sectionals. String musicians and percussionists work with Ms. Webster while winds rehearse with Ms. Gardner, allowing for more specialized attention before coming together in full orchestra after the break.

The Camerata season runs September through May, and the musicians perform in three concerts during the year.

Camerata Orchestra musicians are eligible to enroll in GSYO Summer Conservatory.
