Camerata Orchestra

Camerata Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Ondine Young, is a beginning ensemble composed of students with two to three years of private lessons. There are weekly sectionals and full orchestra for all instruments.

Conductor Young is assisted at each rehearsal by wind coach Debra Gardner.

Camerata musicians learn complex musical ideas and techniques, accompany several student soloists, and are in-training for Galbraith Honor Strings or the El Camino Wind Orchestra.

The Camerata season runs September through May, and the musicians perform in three concerts during the year.

Camerata Orchestra musicians are eligible to enroll in GSYO Summer Conservatory.
